Track clicks from your Google Business Profile
Make a tracking link for each button on your Google profile, such as the website, booking, menu and order buttons. Then your analytics shows exactly how many visitors and customers your profile sends you.
Advanced: source and medium
Most people leave these as google and organic, so profile visits still count as free Google traffic in your reports.

What each part of the link means
- utm_source=google: the visit came from Google.
- utm_medium=organic: it was a free visit, not an ad.

- utm_content: the exact button, for when you track several on one profile.
Questions about this tool
Why add UTM tags to my Google Business Profile?
Without them, visits from your profile are mixed in with ordinary Google search visits in your analytics. With them, you can see how many people came from the profile, which button they used and whether they booked or bought.
Will tracking links hurt my ranking?
UTM tags are a widely used way to label links, and the page they open is the same. We're not aware of any Google guidance saying they affect local rankings. Keep the link pointing to the right page, and use the same page you'd use without tags.
Why google and organic?
Because visits from your profile are free visits from Google. Keeping those values means they still sit with your other free Google traffic, with the campaign name telling you they came from the profile.
Where do I see the results?
In Google Analytics 4, open Reports, then Acquisition, then Traffic acquisition, and add the session campaign as a column or filter. Look for the names that start with gbp-.
Is anything I type saved?
No. The link is built in your browser.
