How to add your business to Apple Maps with Apple Business (2026)
To add your business to Apple Maps, go to business.apple.com, sign up for Apple Business, which is free, then add or claim your location and verify your organisation. Apple Business replaced Apple Business Connect on 14 April 2026, and existing Business Connect locations moved across automatically. Apple asks for two verification methods, such as an EIN or D-U-N-S number plus a utility bill, and says the review takes up to five business days. Once you're verified, your photos, hours, actions and offers show on your place card in Apple Maps, Siri, Safari and Spotlight.
What changed in 2026
On 14 April 2026 Apple replaced Apple Business Connect, Apple Business Manager and Apple Business Essentials with one free platform, Apple Business, available in more than 200 countries and regions. Claimed locations, place card details, photos and account details moved across automatically.
Before you start
- An email address and a phone number that can receive codes by text or call.
- Two ways to prove your business is real: for example your EIN or D-U-N-S number, access to your website's DNS settings, or a document such as a business licence or utility bill.
- Your website address. Apple says adding it can speed up verification.
- The exact name on your storefront or website, plus your address, phone number, opening hours and main category.
Step 1: Sign up for Apple Business
- Go to business.apple.com and select Sign up now.
- Enter your organisation's name, website and address.
- Enter your own legal name, create a password and add a phone number for verification codes.
- Enter the codes Apple sends to your email and phone, then agree to the terms.
Only tick the agency option if you manage listings for other businesses. After you sign up, you have 60 days to verify your organisation: Apple deletes organisations that aren't approved in that window, along with their data.
Step 2: Verify your organisation
- In Apple Business, choose Settings, then Organization, then Verify Now.
- Choose your first method: a business ID (D-U-N-S number or EIN), domain validation (a TXT record added to your website's DNS), App Store Connect, or an official document such as a business licence, sales tax permit, food, health or alcohol permit, lease or utility bill.
- Add a second method, then select Send for Review.
Apple says verification takes up to five business days, and longer at busy times. Make sure your email filters let through mail from apple.com addresses, so you don't miss a question about your application.
Step 3: Add or claim your location
- Choose Brands, then Locations, then Add.
- Type your business name. If Apple Maps already lists it, select it; if not, add a new location with that name.
- Check the address, and drag the map so the pin sits on top of your building.
- Add your display name, primary category, status (open, or opening within six months), phone number, website and opening hours.
- Choose or create your brand, then finish verification.
If your location is already on Apple Maps, Apple can also verify it with a phone call to the number it has on record, and you enter the four-digit code. If another organisation already manages your location, add it anyway and request a transfer with a business licence or utility bill. Apple says transfer reviews take up to five business days.
Step 4: Fill in your place card
Your place card shows in Apple Maps and across Apple's apps, from Siri to Messages. These are Apple's rules for each part:
| Field | Apple's rules |
|---|---|
| Display name | Must match your storefront or website. No descriptions, extra words or symbols such as ® or ™ |
| Categories | One primary category, as specific as possible, plus up to 19 more |
| Address and pin | The address customers use. The pin goes on top of your building, not on the road or car park |
| Hours | Normal hours, plus temporary hours for holidays and closures. Match the hours on your website |
| Phone | Include the country code. Extensions aren't supported |
| Website | The page for that location if you have one. A Facebook, Instagram or TikTok page is allowed, but not a third-party site |
| Logo and cover photo | Apple reviews them before they appear |
| About | What you're known for, your specialities and your history |
| Good to Know | Amenities such as accessible parking, contactless payments or EV charging |
Step 5: Add actions and offers, and check your insights
- Actions: buttons such as order or reserve that send customers to your website or app.
- Showcases: a deal, new product or seasonal item on your place card for a set time, such as 30 days.
- Insights: how customers find and use your place card, including searches, views and taps on your actions.
- Branded Mail: your name and logo shown in Apple's Mail app on emails you send customers, once you verify your email domain.
If your business isn't showing on Apple Maps
- Check in Apple Business that your organisation and location are verified, and look for any messages about your application.
- Make sure the pin sits on your building and the address matches your website.
- Allow email from apple.com addresses so you don't miss a review request.
- If someone else manages your location, request a transfer.
Keep Apple Maps in step with Google and Bing
Use the same name, address, phone number and hours on Apple Maps, your Google Business Profile, Bing Places and your website, and update them all on the same day when something changes. Mismatched details confuse customers, and the AI assistants that compare sources.
