What to include on your invoice
- Your call-out charge, and what it includes
- Labour time, with any out-of-hours rate shown separately
- Parts and materials used
- What you found and what you did, in a line or two
- Any registration your work needs, for example a Gas Safe number in the UK for gas work
Tips
- Write one plain sentence about the fault and the fix. It answers most questions before they're asked.
- Show any emergency or after-hours rate as its own line so it doesn't look like a mistake.
- Take payment on the spot where you can, and mark the invoice paid.
- Add your review QR code. A customer whose leak you've just fixed is the most likely to leave a review.

Should I show the call-out charge separately?
Yes. Customers accept it more easily when it's clearly listed, and it shows what the first hour covered.
Can I send it from my phone?
Yes. Fill it in on your phone, choose Print, then Save as PDF, and share the PDF by text or email.
Can I add a Google review QR code?
Yes. Paste your Google review link and the footer shows a small "Happy with our work?" code. Asking every customer, with nothing offered in return, is allowed by Google.
