How much do Angi leads cost? Lead fees, credits and contracts in 2026
Angi charges home-service pros a fee for every lead they're matched to, and the fee depends on the type of work, the area you serve and the size of the job. Angi doesn't publish a price list. One third-party site, LeadTruffle, reports about $15 to $120 a lead depending on trade, and an annual fee of around $300. You pay for leads you don't win, though some bad leads qualify for a credit.
How Angi charges
Angi Leads, the product that used to be HomeAdvisor, charges a fee for each lead you match to. Angi's pro FAQ says the fee depends on the type of work you do, the area you serve and the size of the job, and that each customer is connected with several pros.
On its May 2025 earnings call, Angi's then chief executive said homeowners now choose which pros receive their request, rather than leads being matched automatically, and that pros on Angi Ads, the older advertising product, were being moved to the same model.
What pros report paying
Angi doesn't publish lead prices or membership fees. These are third-party figures from LeadTruffle (February 2026), which sells a competing product, so treat them as a rough guide and get a quote for your trade and area:
| Trade | Reported price per lead (USD) |
|---|---|
| Cleaning | $15–$35 |
| Plumbing | $40–$85 |
| HVAC | $45–$100 |
| Roofing | $50–$120+ |
The same source reports leads costing 20–25% more in big metro areas, an annual fee of about $300, and 12-month contracts that renew automatically. Ask Angi for its fees and contract terms in writing before you sign.
When you can get a lead credit
Angi's lead credit guidelines list when you can ask for credit on a lead:
- A duplicate lead.
- A lead outside your zip codes, or for a job type you don't offer (partial credit if that job type is in your profile).
- A competitor testing the system.
- All the customer's contact details are wrong or disconnected.
You have to ask within 30 days of the charge. Credits are store credit, not cash, and expire six months after they're issued. Not winning the job, a customer who doesn't call back or one who hires someone else doesn't qualify: Angi says those are already allowed for in its lead fees.
Reviews on Angi
- Reviewers need an Angi account; anonymous reviews aren't accepted and companies can't rate themselves.
- Angi checks reviews before posting them, and companies caught in review fraud are removed from category searches and flagged on their profile.
- You can reply to good and bad reviews.
- Angi encourages pros to ask past customers for reviews in person, by email, text or phone, and says not to offer incentives or giveaways for a positive review. Its terms say reviewers must not have been paid.
Are Angi leads worth it?
- Ask for the fee for each job type you'd accept, and turn off the job types and zip codes that don't pay.
- Claim credits for every eligible bad lead within 30 days.
- Each month, divide your total spend by the jobs you won from Angi to get your real cost per job.
- Compare that with Google ads, Thumbtack and referrals, and note your renewal date.
Because leads go to several pros, the fastest reply often wins. Reviews on your own Google profile can bring enquiries without a fee per lead: our Google reviews guide shows how to build them.
